Blessed is the manwho does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of mockers.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
and on this he meditates
day and night
He is like a tree planted by
streams of water,
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.
Something about the image of the tree in this psalm that I love. I try and image myself as the tree. Sometimes I see this strong tree with deep roots and long branches reaching out all over. That is the tree I pray I am in all seasons.

I have Christmas gifts for you--but of course they haven't left my house yet. It's a family trait not to get gifts ready quite on time. (My family, not Joe's!) I hope to mail them out on Tuesday... :(
