Once again 10 Random and Useless Things about Me...

Back in 6/2008 I posted 10 not so shocking confessions, well here are 10 more:

1. I am always running out of the spices cumin and chili powder. We do eat a lot of tacos, taco soup, and chili.

2. I love old coffee percolators. The little glass window at the top you can watch the coffee bubble up. Since Trevor I have come to live for a cup of coffee in the morning.

3. Lately I love hardware stores. I love looking at all the colorful tools, interesting latches, screws, bolts, hooks, pipes, and wood. I think of all the creative things we could do to our house.

4. I have to stop and think what state I live in...and still can't believe I live in Idaho. I don't know why it is any harder to believe then Florida.

5. I love old movies especially with Cary Grant. Recently I saw one called Adam's Rib, though not with Cary Grant, was a very humorous movie. You got to love Katharine Hepburn.

6. The public school system scares me. I am already having a hard time with letting my little boy go...I can't protect him for ever but is he ready for the world? And many other educational issues too...is home school in the future?

7. I have so become the suburban housewife! I try to deny it, but oh it is truth. Why do I not like that title?

8. I love writing letters and love receiving letters. I probably get 1 letter back for every 25 I write. I guess it really is a dying form of communication. But to see someones handwriting, scratch outs, and thoughts is a gift.

9. God has recently once again brought me to a place where he is gently revealing some deep sins and lies I believe, ones that are keeping me from fully experiencing His love for me and keeping me form loving others. Praying this prayer has changed my life; Lord, do I really believe that you will meet my deepest need? Please reveal to me what is in the way of allowing you to meet that deepest need. It has been an ugly and beautiful time all at once. Loving this journey!

10. I am not technologically savvy. I will never be. You are lucky you get this blog out of me. I really don't want to spend my time figuring it out. I'd rather read a good book. I don't want to read it on the screen either or small pad. I like the feel of the pages, the smell, the type, the book covers. I like  random little bookmarks, pages folded over, little notes in the margin, or underlines. Maybe I am just a romantic, but the thought of reading on a cold little screen seems like it is taking some of the experience away.

There you have it 10 things you might not have known and probably will forget pretty shortly.

I challenge my cousins to post 10 random incites about themselves. You know who you are...
