Soooo this is a little after the fact, but it is a funny story. Paul and I went to the store to pick out some Mother's Day cards. I don't know what I was ever thinking that this was ever going to work! After picking out a few cards that looked nice, who knew what they said, we were on our way. I put the little card bag in my handbag, put Paul in his seat, put my handbag down next to him, got in the car, and started on our way home. It was a nice day, so we were driving around with the windows down. Paul is quiet in the back, and I am listening to NPR. Out of the corner of my eye I think I see something go out the window. I turn around to see Paul with the little card bag in one hand and a card in another hand with the card about to go out the window. And it does! I, in only a way a mom can do, snatch the bag of cards out of his hand, tell Paul that we don't put things out the window ever as I am rolling his window up, and he is just sitting there in innocent amazement!
The casualties were one card, an envelope to another card, and a package of stickers.
I can say as a mom my sense of humor has grown, I may be more forgetful, but I sure do get a lot of laughs!

sounds like what David and John used to do (at about 18 months old) with their sneakers while we walked along in the wagon. I'd get to the store to find them barefoot! Then on the way home, we'd eventually find the sneakers by the side of the walk. That's when I started buying TIE shoes, that I could double-knot!
Hope you had a Happy Mother's Day! I got to go visit my mom in NY, with David's and John's (and Joe's) blessings. It was a lovely weekend. :)
Sense of humor has definately broadened here too! :)
That is a great story though!
Haha, great story. I bet he was a bit surprised the rest of the ride home.
Funny story!! I can only imagine what life will be like when Leanna is here! You always make me laugh.
