Sharing an God Moment

For me it is so easy to get busy and not see the work that God is doing or has done. Today during my quiet time I just realised all the things God has done in my life lately, and I knew I had to share them...it is too cool to keep to myself!
God called us down here (Florida) this fall and it was hard. We left behind family, good friends, a church family, and a thriving ministry. Also coming down here we took a pay cut, and we did not move to a cheaper area. But God through prayer told us he was going to take care of us. So off we went. Before we moved here we decided to sell our little red wagon, using that money to pay off our other car. Now upon arriving I was going to have to find a part time job and Paul was going to have to go to nursery school. I was very nervous about this, this was a lot of change.
When we got here I couldn't get a job, all the nurseries for Paul's age group were full and wait listed. And I didn't need to get a job! Since we have been here we have been able to save a little each month...which we thought was never going to happen because we didn't even think we were going to be able to pay our bills. And just this week we now have use of a second car! A friend in the church has loaned us one of their cars till May!
God is awesome! He has provided for us and I know he will continue to. It may not always be they way I think, like a loaner car, or not having space for Paul in nursery school to keep him home, but man he knows what is best!

Praise God!
I love to hear other God Moments, please share.

At 51 I have all kinds of God moments but one of my all time favorites, happened about 28 years ago. We had two children at the time and were at Bible School and very broke. It was summer and we were on our way to teach a Children's Bible class. My window in the car was down (no air-conditioning) and as Don was turning the corner I saw money just sitting in the gutter. It was just sitting there, not blowing away, just sitting there. I don't remember how much it was, not much, maybe 10 or 20 bucks... a lot of money back then. Needless to say we pulled over and were elated at the find... I'm sure I was thinking of all kinds of special things I could do with the money. Well as we reached our destination, about a 45 minute drive, a belt in our car snapped. Don saftly pulled over, we just 'happened' to be near a service station and we had just enough money to fix the car. No, I was not disappointed about losing my 'special' money... I was in awe that God had just given us the money to fix the car. Just one of the many stories I could share about God's faithfulness to us. Faithful to provide physcially, mentally, spiritually, finacially. He has been most faithful in teaching us about who he is and allowing us to know him more fully. We serve an awesome God.

What good thoughts Sara...and we too often take for granted what God has given us.
Great story Aunt Sue! I cannot believe how cheap it was to fix a car! Man times have changed.
You know it has always amazed me how much God has provided for us. We have ALWAYS been able to pay our bills (even when money was really tight) and God has provided money when we needed it most! That does not mean he always will we cannot always expect that. It has been incredibly hard (like for you Sara) to be so far away and know nobody, I have no car (but this has been a blessing too in many ways)and we have a wonderful home, and the oppurtunity to meet new people and become a part of a new chruch family.
I think it is so important no matter what we are going through good or bad that God is still God, he is still perfect and good, he is doing what he wants for us, his perfect will for our lives...even if it is not what we had planned on ;)
