Lent

Lent is a beautiful time of the year. Chris and I gave up tv this year for lent. It doesn't seem like a hard thing to give up....but when March Madness began or when Paul was in bed and I justed wanted to be brain dead...or Grey's ...I suddenly had to remember my fast. My little sacrifice to help me remeber Jesus and his almost unbelievable sacrifice. God loved us so much that he gave us his son. He gave us a relationship with him. This lent I have been praying and fasting of how I could share this relationship, share this love. This psalm has been on my heart.

Psalm 51 10-13

"Create in me a pure heart, O God,

and renew a steadfast spirit

within me.

Do not cast me from your presence

or take your Holy Spirit from me.

Restore to me the joy of your

salvation

and grant me a willing spirit,

to sustain me.

Then I will teach transgressors your ways

and sinners will turn back to you."

Create, Restore, Teach

Seems so simple...
